An old phone.
A current Android.

Your phone stopped getting updates. LineageOS can bring it back, and DroidRescue gets you ready: it checks the phone is supported, downloads the official files and verifies every one.

It never changes your phone. Every step that does is yours, with the official guide open beside you.

Version 0.2.0, free and open source. Installer and portable download available. Both are unsigned.

Seven steps, in order.

Prepare the tools, connect the phone, choose the build, then follow the guide. One step at a time, and you always know which one you’re on.

Know the phone is supported.

DroidRescue reads the connected phone and checks it against official LineageOS support before you download anything.

Files you can trust.

Everything comes from official sources. Each file is checked against its published SHA-256 fingerprint, and you see what passed and where it’s saved.

Nothing touches the phone.

It only reads from the device. If the phone can’t be identified or a check fails, it stops rather than guesses.

Before you begin

Does DroidRescue install LineageOS for me?

No. It prepares and verifies files. Unlocking, flashing, erasing, rebooting and sideloading stay manual, as the official guide describes.

Will it work with every Android phone?

It covers officially supported phones that use fastboot. Samsung phones that use Odin are not covered.

Is it free?

Yes. DroidRescue is open source under the MIT licence.

Is this an official LineageOS application?

No. DroidRescue is an independent project, not affiliated with LineageOS, Google or any phone maker.

Check your phone first.

Then download only what it needs.
